The Rural Development Programme (RUDEP) of Jdpmoyo paid courtesy visit to Forest Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) and Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), Ibadan, Oyo state. The team led by the Head of Department (HOD), Mr Anthony Ogunnupebi were on the mission of strengthening cordial relationship between the organization and research institutes in the area of sustainable agriculture. The focus is mainly on rural farmers including women and youths for holistic agricultural and community development. The department which started more than a decade ago under the Oyo, Osun Agricultural Diocesan Programme (OODAP) has continued to grow from strength to more formidable entity in Oyo State because of its crops of experienced staff who worked tirelessly in 19 LGAs depicting the Catholic Diocese of Oyo. The Ave Maria Multipurpose Investment LTD (AMMIL), an offshoot and investment holdings of Justice Development and Peace Movement (JDPM) of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo has recorded another breakthrough as His Lordship, Most Rev Dr Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo blessed three new tractors that was recently procured by the organization. Earlier, the microfinance institution bought a new tractor in 2020 and with the new development, the total number of tractors is now four (4). This is part of the efforts and vision of the institution in supporting farmers in Oyo Diocese. Therefore, the Justice, Development and Peace Movement (JDPM) of Catholic Diocese of Oyo have achieved a feat in its Child Rights and Welfare project in the selected basic schools in Oyo, Ogbomoso and Oke-Ogun. The department of Politics and Human Rights, Jdpmoyo has successfully organized a public discussion with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Oyo Zonal Offices, Social Welfare, Akunlemu Oyo, Justice of Peace (JP) and the Neighborhoods for Citizens Engagement Platform (NICE-P) Oyo zone on Tuesday, 7th September, 2021. The Justice Development and Peace Movement (JDPM) in Oyo had the quarterly discussion meeting with stakeholders on September 5, 2023. The meeting's main focus was on developing creative solutions to combat the widespread gender-based violence that affects youth in Oyo State and in schools, as well as to promote youth involvement in politics. In his welcome address, the Program Manager, Mr. Dominic Taiwo highlighted the organization’s efforts, and also praised the principals’ contributions towards eradicating GBV in secondary schools through the school outreach on civic education and gender based violence program, supported by the European Union.
